    The Primary Purpose of Parenting
What is The Primary Purpose of Parenting?  Raise your children to win BIGGER trophies, earn blue ribbons, get straight A's, be the star of the football team...not a chance!  The Apostle Paul wrote his earliest letter to the early believers in Thessalonica to encourage them for their faith in light of persecution, and in so doing he inadvertently offered some great parenting advice when describing the way he lived and loved while among the people there.
1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 gives us three practical ways we (as parents) can encourage, comfort, and urge our children to live lives worthy of God!
Listen, and then be the living example that your children can follow...as they see Jesus in you.

    Relational Rules to Live By
Pastor Stephen continues teaching in the new RPM series regarding 8 radical relational rules to live by.  These 8 rules (drawn directly from Scripture) provide practical application points from the book of Romans 12:15-21 that could transform the world if believers everywhere would live them out.

    Oppressed to Blessed
With rising elements of horror and terror all around us, Pastor Stephen launches into a new sermon series and teaches on the radical reaction we are to have in our relationship with those who persecute us.  We are not to respond as the world responds.  We are to "bless those who persecute us; bless and do not curse."  (Romans 12:14)
Maybe there is someone you need to stop cursing and start blessing?  Listen, pray, and act!

A Family Tradition (National Back to Church Sunday)
Pastor Stephen welcomed a record number of guests who joined the RWC Family on Sunday for National Back to Church Sunday.  He taught on the church and every believer's need to be in fellowship with other believers.  He shared statistics impacting our nation, the state of the church, our role as believers, and challenged everyone in attendance to follow the model established by the early church to be "brothers" and "sisters" in Christ because we share a common blood and a common Father.
He underscored the vision and mission for RWC to be a place where people can BELIEVE. GROW. SERVE. and BELONG...while doing it all in the LOVE of Christ.
Listen here and respond to the challenge to become DEVOTED and GO for the Lord!

    An Attempt at Atonement
Pastor Stephen closes out the 9-Week Summer Sermon Series, Mountain Men & Mayhem with today's message, An Attempt at Atonement.
This sermon focuses on Exodus 32:25-35, where Moses serves as a picture of the coming Christ that God promised to Moses back in Deuteronomy 18:18.  While Moses was like Jesus in many ways, there was one way in which the two shared glaring differences.  While Moses could only make An Attempt at Atonement for the Israelites, Jesus actually did atone for the whole world through his death on the cross.
Grab your Bible, and listen in, as we pray that you too will find "at-one-ment" with God.

    The Blame Game
What do you do when confronted with sin in your life?  Do you deny it?  Do you blame others?  Do you lie about it?   Pastor Stephen teaches from Exodus 32:15-24 where Moses confronts Aaron for leading the Israelites into sin by caving to their request and shaping an idol of a golden calf for them to bow down before and worship in the name of the Lord.
Listen to The Blame Game and apply the lessons learned to your life.

    Holy Father…Why Should I Bother?
Pastor Stephen teaches on the Doctrine of the Immutability of God.  Moses interceded on behalf of the Israelites when God set the dire possibility before him that He would destroy the Israelites for their sin, but after Moses prayed...God relented.  The question at hand is, "Did God change His mind?"  What do you believe?  Why do you believe what you believe?  What is truth?  Is it even possible for God to change His Mind?  Listen to last Sunday's sermon and be challenged!

    The Audacity of Apostasy
Pastor Stephen teaches from Exodus 32 where the Israelites began engaging in mayhem at the foot of Mt. Sinai, as Moses was on the mountain with God.  He likened it to an unruly class who acts up and breaks the rules when the teacher had to step away for a while.  This message highlights our attempts to twist and shape God into our image of Him and put other things on a pedestal instead of putting God first in our lives and obeying the rules He has established for us.

    A Good Deal (Part I)
Pastor Stephen teaches from Exodus 23:20-28 on the covenant between God and the Israelites, the significance of the Law, and the central role blood played in the old and new covenants with God.  As with all Good Deals, the offer stands but for a limited time.  If we are to accept the offer we've been given, then we need to take action today and accept it...by sealing the deal...in blood!
