The Real Christmas Story of Maggis, a Massacre, and a Messiah on the Move
To many, Christmas evokes emotions of happiness and joy; while others spend the holidays in a world of deep darkness, uncertainty, and suffering.  These same emotions have existed since the inception of the birth of Christ and many are still struggling to see the joy that comes only through the Son.  Listen to today's message on The Real Christmas Story of Maggis, a Massacre, and a Messiah on the Move.  "Out of Egypt God called His Son" to save a world that was filled with darkness.  Christmas is the time we celebrate that God came down to bring light and life to those who are helpless and hurting.  We needed a Savior, and at Christmas, we're reminded...that God gave us one.

    A Carpenter’s First Christmas
His emotions were raw, the pain real, the setting meek, the story unbelievable...until an angel of the Lord appeared to him and helped this young carpenter realize that his plans and God's plans were not the same.  Listen to today's Christmas message from the vantage point of a young, righteous man who received some strange news, before having a wild dream that he would be given the honor of giving Jesus His name.
Listen to the story of Joseph and come explore this account in a fresh new way, because we are all called to faithfully serve our king and love one another.  May our Lord richly bless you this holy-day season.

    Journeying for Joy
At this time of year, Nativity sets all across this country will adorn coffee tables and be lit up in front yards as signs of the season.  The image of baby Jesus is generally accompanied by Mary and Joseph, along with an ox, a donkey, some shepherds, and an angel with some wise men in tow.  While these are all characters of the Christmas story, the wise men being placed in the manger is not a historically accurate one.
Pastor Stephen shares a message about the journey of the Magi, and why this is the most important journey in the world.  They sat out on a journey to find joy, and joy came in the form of a Child named Jesus.  Listen to today's message, and commit yourself to seeking the Savior this holiday season.

    The Joy of Waiting
After hundreds of years of silence...after hundreds of years of waiting...the Messiah had been born.  When you move beyond the manger, you come to some additional Christmas characters who were waiting.  Simeon and Anna were waiting for Jesus to arrive in the temple to be dedicated to God.  In this message, you will hear how Jesus fulfilled the Abrahamic covenant, the Laws of Moses, and the prophecy of Isaiah as God was dedicated to God.
Don't get caught waiting without the Joy of Jesus in your heart!  Simeon was waiting for consolation, and Anna was waiting for redemption.  Both found what they were looking for in Jesus.

    The Greatest Gift
Pastor Stephen shares a brief Christmas Eve message on The Greatest Gift ever given as the RWC Children's Choir,  A Joyful Noise, joined with our praise team to worship the Christ-child Immanuel.  He shares about the distinction between receiving good news and accepting the gift.  May you hear the good news of great joy that was for all the people, and make it your own by accepting the good news of God's grace...by accepting His Son as YOUR Savior.
    Merry CHRISTmas!

A Christmas Story for the Humble, the Hurting, and the Hopeful
Last year, Pastor Stephen shared the Christmas story from the perspective of kingdom's colliding.  He told of the clash of worlds between King Herod, King Jesus, and the three kings of the Orient.  This Christmas, he shared the Christmas story from the perspective of the shepherds--some of the lowliest of people in first century Israel.  In this sermon, we learned some of the lessons about how God chose to alert the world that His Son had arrived, and we looked at the shepherds' response in contrast with our lives today.  In the Christmas message, we see the Gospel message.  In the Christmas message, we see the Great Commission.  Listen to the word of the Lord...and be amazed as you allow the Christmas story to become YOUR story...if you will let it!

When Kingdoms Collide: A Christmas Story
Pastor Stephen teaches the Christmas story through the lens of Kingdoms colliding.  He takes current events seen in the headlines of a busy, sinful world that has pulled away from our Savior and draws comparisons to the world at the time when Jesus entered it.  Feel free to listen and be prepared to answer the question, "Which King do you worship this Christmas?"
